A Valiant Effort

A McDonald's in Temecula, California was faced with a moral dilemma when a protesting hen took up residence in its drive-thru lane. The chicken had arrived to throw itself body and soul into a protest against McNuggets. It spent its days blocking customer vehicles in the drive-thru, as if to say "Let this be the face you see when you bite into that McNugget or all-new Southern Chicken sandwich!" The hen's vigil lasted four months until sneaky restaurant workers lured it with hamburger buns and caught it. With PIECES of hamburger bun! I just got an image of them catching it between two hamburger buns. Deplorable!

Yeah, I exaggerated this story. According to CNN, the hen was just living in the bushes near the drive-thru, wandering out occasionally to block customer traffic. But we all know what the hen was really there for, right?

P.S. They didn't eat the chicken after they caught it. The chicken is now living with other chickens as a pet at the home of one of the employees.
